I bought a ryobi patio cleaner from advert off the telly but upgraded to longer life battery on website as I dislike battery products and always prefer cable however I needed something robust enough as I live in an ex 1950s council house paving at front and half paved at back,there seemed to be no cabled products like this. Whilst the product in general is good its not great several reasons for that. 3 hours at the front ive had to stop as battery is dead an I need to recharge it which was my biggest fear and cost of another battery is ridiculous thats not just ryobi but all companies are the same and ive only got probably three quarters done and still have back to do. Now I don't care what anyone says batteries highly expensive to recycle as super costly to strip down as you can't just melt them and to costly to buy one by its self as I would probably need 2 just for the front and its not a massive drive. 2) the mudflap or dust guard is shredded which to be fair you expect that but a rubber or plastic not ideal maybe a brush effect guard would of been better. 3) the wheel slightly to small ! .As im 6 foot even though you can extend handle not enough that I still slightly bent over but that being said my back isn't aching anywhere near as bad as the roller version I used. If you have a heavily weeded patio or drive it won't do it in one use specially if you have driveline 50 bricks which I don't as they have more creases to clean out I have 450 x 450 blocks so all straight lines and quicker which confirms battery isn't always best. If you have smaller than 25feet by 11feet you might be ok but the advert is a little stretched in its claim. Now I know this if I had other ryobi battery tools would I use this ? Answer is Definately its very useful bit of kit far better than any wheeled version I've used if it had been a corded version it would of been exemplary .
